<p>The International Science Council has appointed Mary Robinson, Former President of Ireland, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and leading defender of climate justice, and Ismail Serageldin, Emeritus Librarian of the Library of Alexandria in Egypt, and a world authority on development, as inaugural Patrons of the International Science Council.</p>
