This Science Systems Futures project aims to enhance our understanding of how emerging technologies are transforming the practice and organization of science worldwide, with a focus on empowering science, technology, and innovation systems in low- and middle-income countries. The project started in 2024 and aims to provide reflection on science systems and new technologies, technical support to science organizations, the opportunity and infrastructure to build a community, as well as to increase the representation of actors from the Global South in science and technology forums. The project is funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) of Canada until 2027.
One year after the launch of the project, we provide an in-depth update to the ISC community on the developments, the recent milestones and future opportunities for the involvement of ISC Members and Fellows.
The meeting will also be an opportunity for ISC Members and Fellows to provide input on the next phase of the project.
All representatives, staff members and focal points of ISC Members, as well as ISC Fellows are invited to attend.
