The tenth annual Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is held from 7 to 8 May 2025. The STI Forum will facilitate discussions in support of the SDGs focusing on the following, which align with the 2025 High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable development from 14-23 July 2025.
The STI Forum will act as a preparatory meeting and consensus from it will provide formal inputs at the HLPF.
The theme for the STI Forum 2025 is “Advancing sustainable, inclusive, and evidence-based, science and technology solutions and innovations for the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs for leaving no one behind”.
The ISC convenes the scientific expertise and resources needed to lead on catalysing, incubating and coordinating impactful international action on issues of major scientific and public importance.
The ISC works at the intersection of science and policy, particularly at the UN level, to ensure that science is integrated into international policy development and that relevant policies take into account both scientific knowledge and the needs of science.
The ISC and UN Futures Lab/Global Hub launch of a joint report on “Futures Thinking and Strategic Foresight in Action: Insights from the Global South”.
This online launch event, taking place during the STI Forum 2025 Action Day, will highlight the applications collected in the joint report along with other practices that promote sustainable, inclusive, and evidence-based solutions and innovations for the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
