China’s CAST to host next ISC mid-term meeting in 2026

At the conclusion of the Third ISC General Assembly in Muscat, Oman, the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) extended an invitation to all delegates to gather in Beijing for the next ISC mid-term meeting in October 2026.

Building on the success of past ISC global gatherings, this meeting will provide a platform for insightful discussions on the future of science, its role in driving economic and social progress, and its impact on human well-being.

CAST and the Beijing municipal government are committed to delivering an exceptional and inspiring event.

We will bring together 217 national societies affiliated with CAST and also Chinese educators from universities, scientists and entrepreneurs, to participate in this grand gathering in Beijing.

Much like Oman, successfully hosting the Muscat Global Knowledge Dialogue, we also aim to foster insightful discussion on the scientific vision, agenda, and future. We would like to show hospitality to all of the participants from the ISC community.

Science is an endless frontier, which drives global economy and social progress, while enhancing human well-being. We firmly believe in its power to shape a better world for everybody. So we sincerely invite all ISC members to join us in Beijing.

We look forward to welcoming you in October 2026.

Dr. Luo Hui, Executive Secretary of CAST and Director General of the Department of International Affairs of CAST.
