ISC President Peter Gluckman awarded highest distinction of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova

The medal by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova recognizes Sir Peter’s lasting contributions to international scientific collaboration and diplomacy.

The award also acknowledges Sir Peter’s support for the 2022 European Platform for Peace conference, hosted by the Academy in Chisinau, as well as his thoughtful engagement with the Moldovan scientific community, including a widely shared interview on trust in science in a world of disinformation.

In a message of congratulations, the Academy expressed its appreciation for its collaboration with the ISC and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties between the Moldovan and global scientific communities.

The ISC extends its warmest congratulations to Sir Peter and its sincere thanks to the Academy of Sciences of Moldova for recognizing leadership in advancing science as a global public good.
