Alvaro Santiago Scardilli is a meteorologist with an MSc-equivalent degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires. He has experience in marine weather forecasting, polar meteorology, sea ice and icebergs operational advisory and operational applications of atmospheric sciences. With expertise in weather forecasting, ice charting, satellite imagery interpretation and evaluation, and environmental management, he lectures on the impacts of forecasts on human activities and climate change and directs multiple research projects.
