His expertise spans environmental science, international development, and research policy. His was previously IDRC’s director for the Middle East and North Africa (2013-17), and Chief of Staff (2008-13). His works include “Research for the Developing World” and “International Development: ideas, experience and prospects” (Oxford University Press). Currie-Alder holds a PhD in public policy from Carleton University.
