Prof. El-Feky is the Acting President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of Egypt and the Chair of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank. El-Feky is assigned by the Egyptian government as the Plenipotentiary of the ARE to the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna, Russia. She’s a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. She earned her Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University in 2008, Ph.D. work was centered around applying nanotechnology in developing transdermal formulation. She was the winner of Best Ph.D. thesis award in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the National Research Center (NRC), 2008 and winner of the Scientific Excellence award from the NRC in 2011 and 2012 and she was awarded the international publications excellence award in 2014 and 2015 from MSA University. As the Acting President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), Egypt, she spearheads national strategies to align scientific research with Egypt’s Vision 2030. With a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Cairo University, 2008) and expertise in nanotechnology-based drug delivery, she bridges academia, policy, and global diplomacy.
She earned a post graduate certificate in higher education from the University of Greenwich, UK and is an affiliate to the quality assurance agency of UK. She’s a Professor, Pharmaceutical Technology Department, NRC, is currently chairing the Finance Committee of SESAME, Jordan, chairing the Women in Science work group, NASAC, Africa and co-chairing the Egypt Genome scientific committee. El-Feky is the former Executive Manager of Egypt’s Children’s University Program, ASRT,
She’s a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Society of women in science in developing countries since 2014 and was a member of the Drug Research council and the National committee of Drugs at the ASRT. She was also a member of the Egyptian Young Academy of Sciences (EYAS) and is currently a member of its advisory board.
She worked as a former Head of Pharmaceutics department and Pharmacy Program Leader, Faculty of Pharmacy, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA)., deputy of the Technology Innovation and Commercialization Office, MSA University. She was the head of the Scientific Research Committee of MSA University, Head of the Ethics and Safety Committee and Member of the National Accreditation Committee, Faculty of Pharmacy, MSA University.
Her research interest is in the field of drug delivery and pharmaceutical nano-formulations. She shared as a team member in 9 research projects and as a co-principal investigator in a research project granted by the Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF) and a PI for a grant funded by the ASRT. She supervised over 15 master and Ph.D. granted theses. She’s the editorial board member and a reviewer for several peer reviewed international journals. Presented her research work in over 30 national and international conferences. H index 14 and her work is cited in 900+ publications.
