Professor Tim Smith is a human geographer specializing in coastal management and climate change adaptation. He is also an Emeritus Professor at the University of the Sunshine Coast (Australia), an Adjunct Professor at Brock University (Canada), and an Affiliated Professor at Uppsala University (Sweden). Previously, he was an Australian Research Council Fellow, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Business and Law and Director of the Sustainability Research Centre at the University of the Sunshine Coast. With experience at CSIRO and research projects in over 10 countries, he co-chairs Future Earth Coasts and serves as Executive Editor of Ocean & Coastal Management.
