How can scientists make a difference at COP27?

With many decisions to be made at COP prepared months or even years in advance, the science community has limited leverage to change the path of negotiations once the conference begins. Yet scientists can still exert pressure by sharing their knowledge with the wider community, speaking with the media, and - in that way -generate pressure on those countries who don’t show ambition, says ISC Governing Board Member Martin Visbeck.
