INGSA-Africa Chapter Holds Pre-AMASA 13 Learning Collaborative Workshop in Abuja, Nigeria.

<p>A 2-day Learning Collaborative Workshop designed to inform participants on science advice for policy making at all levels of government was held in Abuja, Nigeria from 13 to 14 November 2017. Coordinated by the Nigerian Academy of Science (NAS) in collaboration with the Africa Chapter of the International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA-Africa), the workshop brought together participants mainly from various Academies of Science in Africa and grantees of the Sida-funded ICSU programme on Leading Integrated Research for Agenda 2030 in Africa (LIRA 2030).</p>

Early career scientists gather for LIRA trans-disciplinary workshop in Uganda

<p>As part of the 5-year “Leading Integrated Research for Agenda 2030 in Africa” programme, 31 representatives of the successful pre-proposals attended a 5-day training workshop on trans-disciplinary (TD) research, which took place on 28 August – 1 September 2017 at the Makarere University, Kampala, Uganda.</p>

Call for pre-proposals: Advancing the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 11 on cities in Africa

<p>As part of the 5-year “Leading Integrated Research for Agenda 2030 in Africa” programme, the International Council for Science (ICSU), in partnership with the Network of African Science Academies (NASAC) and the International Social Science Council (ISSC) will support 10 collaborative research projects across Africa (to the value of up to 90,000 Euro each over two years) that will advance the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11 (sustainable cities and communities) in Africa.</p>
