International Commission on the Clinical Use of Human Germline Genome Editing releases report

Heritable Human Genome Editing (HHGE) involves making changes to the genetic material of eggs, sperm, or any cells that lead to their development, including the cells of early embryos which can be used to establish a pregnancy. The development and use of HHGE techniques raise not only scientific and medical considerations, but also broader societal, ethical and moral issues.
