As the global voice for science, the ISC fosters international collaboration and empowers the global science community in an ethos of inclusivity and diversity with regards to geography, gender, age, language and culture. The ISC has a unique global membership that brings together over 200 international scientific bodies who together aim to advance science as a global public good. In a joint effort with the ISC’s Members, we will now extend Affiliated Membership to eligible young Academies and Scientific Associations.
The ISC recognizes the many challenges early-career scientists and young academies face in navigating and evolving complex science systems. This is why the ISC through its members is committed to fostering an ecosystem of collaboration, resource sharing and partnership by engaging with young scientists in national, regional and global science systems.
The ISC will offer free Affiliated Membership to all eligible organizations of young scientists meeting the criteria of membership categories One and Two. Eligible young academies and scientific associations are currently offered this opportunity to join as Affiliated Members while a new dues structure is being developed for approval at the next General Assembly. The current fees will be waived.
All organizations of young scientists meeting the eligibility criteria are invited to express their interest for membership by contacting Gabriela Ivan, ISC Membership Development Officer, at gabriela.ivan@council.science. Learn more about the benefits of ISC membership.
Together with ISC Affiliated Member, the Global Young Academy (GYA), the ISC will continue a line of support and partnership with young scientists, that encourages international, intergenerational, and interdisciplinary collaboration and dialogue, as GYA states in its mission.
