Governing Board member Anna Davies named Researcher of the Year by Irish Research Council

Anna Davies, who is Professor of Geography, Environment and Society at Trinity College Dublin, has been awarded the prestigious Irish Research Council (IRC) Researcher of the Year award.

Anna Davies, who was elected to the International Science Council’s inaugural Governing Board in July 2018, was honoured for her research in environmental governance and sustainability. Davies directs the Environmental Governance Research Group at Trinity College Dublin, and is a member of the Royal Irish Academy.

The Researcher of the Year awards recognize outstanding individuals who have received funding from the Irish Research Council and who are currently working in academia, industry, civic society or the public sector. They are intended to support and celebrate Ireland’s vibrant research community and recognize excellence in the sector.
