Zakri Abdul Hamid
Scientist, educator, public servant, diplomat, Zakri Abdul Hamid has devoted his career to promoting biodiversity knowledge and protection, environmentally-sustainable development, and technological innovation to the long-term benefit of Malaysian society and the world community, serving in important national and international roles at the interface between science and policy-making.
Trained as an ecologist, Professor William Clark research focuses on sustainability science: understanding the interactions of human and environmental systems with a view toward advancing the goals of sustainable development. Clark’s interest focusses particularly on how institutional arrangements affect the linkage between knowledge and action in the sustainability arena.
Lorrae Van Kerkhoff
Professor Lorrae van Kerkhoff is a lecturer and social researcher in Sustainable Development, Natural Resource Management, and Climate Change Adaptation. Kerkhoff’s research focuses on knowledge governance and the role of science in tackling complex, uncertain socio-ecological challenges.
A highly dedicated and experienced leader in the public sector, Petersson serves as the Director General of the Research Council Formas. Among other roles, Petersson has formerly served as State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Director General of the National Insurance Administration.
Professor Ian Goldin is Professor of Globalisation and Development at the University of Oxford. He is a Professorial Fellow at the University’s Balliol College. From 2006 to 2016 he was the founding Director of the Oxford Martin School and currently leads the Oxford Martin Research Programmes on Technological and Economic Change, the Future of Work, and the Future of Development.
