INGSA, in collaboration with the IDRC, UNESCO,  INDICASAT, and La Secretaría Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (SENACYT), held a Spanish language capacity building workshop in Panama City on 26 – 27 October (shortly after CILAC 2018) with the theme “Science Advice and the Sustainable Development Goals”. The meeting, which was organized in the frame of the Latin America and Caribbean Open Science Forum (CILAC Forum) had approx. 50 participants in attendance.

They discussed several issues related to the topic of ‘Science Advice and the Sustainable Development Goals”. The workshop had a wide representation from different Latin American countries including Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Cuba.
