Seeking a consultant for the project ‘Refugee and displaced scientists’

The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), the InterAcademy Partnership IAP) and the International Science Council (ISC) are collaborating on a project that aims to examine the situation regarding ‘Refugee and Displaced Scientists’. We are now seeking an experienced consultant to help implement the project. This person will work closely with the TWAS Science Diplomacy Unit and Public Information Office, the Coordinator of IAP in Trieste, as well as with staff at ISC.

Overview

The ultimate objective of the project is to gather knowledge and lay the groundwork for much more cohesive and coordinated national, regional and international responses to the issue of refugee and displaced scientists that would enable (the expected growing number of) affected individuals to be assisted smoothly and effectively in a follow-on phase of the initiative.

Timing

The anticipated timeframe for this work is 11 months (approx. March to December 2020 / January 2021)
