14th biennial meeting of the International Human Rights Network of Academies and Scholarly Societies

The fourteenth biennial meeting of the International Human Rights Network of Academies and Scholarly Societies (IHRN), will be hosted by the Academy of Science of South Africa from June 6-8, 2023 in Pretoria, South Africa. The IHRN, created in 1993, works to address global concerns related to science and human rights and to promote the free exchange of ideas and opinions among scientists and scholars in all countries.

The meeting includes a one day symposium on the Role of National Academies and Universities in Promoting Human Rights and Enhancing Equality. During the meeting, higher education students in science, engineering, health, and other fields can engage with speakers at a special student session on Engaging Young STEM Professionals to Address Human Rights Challenges.
