27th IPSA World Congress of Political Science

ISC Member, the International Political Science Association (IPSA), invites you this Congress will provide you with a great opportunity to present your work and discuss political science and international relations with global scholars. It will also include local and regional representation. For the very first time, the Local Organizing Committee is composed of colleagues from five regional countries, with the aim of strengthening ties with the global community. The Congress will also coexist with the biennial Congress of the Argentina political science association, the Sociedad Argentina de Análisis Político (SAAP) which will have a large contingent of students.

The 2023 IPSA World Congress will be an onsite event with a limited number of virtual-only panels. 


Call for papers

The 2023 IPSA World Congress will have a diverse program under the theme Politics in the Age of Transboundary Crises. Paper and panel proposals on any political science-related subject are also welcome. 

More than 300 open panels are awaiting your paper abstracts. Select the ones best related to your research. Note that you can still submit Closed Panel proposals until 18 January 2023

Paper Submissions 

Anyone can submit a proposal. However, you must be signed up for a free IPSA website account to submit a panel or paper proposal. To participate and register for the World Congress, you must become an IPSA member.  

Paper abstracts may be submitted to a session of interest or to a specific open panel within that session. The three types of sessions are:
