The Philippine Social Science Council is proud to announce the winners of the 3rd Loretta Makasiar Sicat Prize for the Social Sciences!
The Loretta Makasiar Sicat Prize for the Social Sciences seeks to promote the social sciences and honor the legacy and contribution of Dr. Loretta Makasiar Sicat for making PSSC the leading institution in the promotion of the social sciences and one of the country’s longest-running and financially viable non-profit organizations.
The 3rd Loretta Makasiar Sicat Prize for the Social Sciences Awarding Ceremony will feature a special lecture by Ms. Denise Hyacinth Joy B. Musni, MA with her award-winning thesis titled “MIND THE GAP: An Analysis of the Discontinuity Between Antenatal Care and Facility-Based Delivery Among Filipino Mothers.”
The top prize winner will be given the Best Thesis or Dissertation award, and will receive a USD 5,500 cash prize. The other two finalists will receive USD 1,000 and USD 500 respectively during the awarding ceremony.
The awarding ceremony and lecture will be live streamed via PSSC Facebook page on 25 April 2024, at 9:30 AM PHT or 1:30 PM UTC.
