ART COP: Reimagining the Climate Summit

This creative climate summit run by the University of the Arts London (UAL) will consider the connections between human & planetary health; cultural & ecological diversity; politics, power & justice must become the common framing for all disciplines & activities as cultural practitioners.
ART COP: Reimagining the Climate Summit

The climate and ecological emergency requires profound and rapid change throughout society. Change does not just happen: it comes about through imagination, invention, collaboration and action. This transition must include intergenerational, intercultural and class justice, specifically related to extractivist, colonial practices as we enact our commitment to redirecting our values and actions toward socio-ecological justice.

Artists and designers are change-makers. Art and design create critical and public awareness; craft desirable and persuasive future visions; generate collaborative processes and solutions.

The Summit becomes a place where diverse stakeholders and communities can meet to share knowledge, practices and perspectives towards individual, collective and institutional action.

For the latest information, keep an eye on the UAL Climate Emergency Network website. The event will include online and in-person activities on 30 October 2021, 1 November 2021, 6 November 2021, 10 November 2021 and 14 November 2021.
