This is an opportunity to keep up-to-date with activities from across the whole of the community, who will gather online to inspire new ideas and collaborations, discuss solutions for today’s environmental challenges, and celebrate the ways that its multidisciplinary work is translating to real-world impact.
The Atmospheric Science Conference will combine keynote presentations with plenary speakers, oral presentations, parallel sessions, and short talks with a limited number of slides. To support the overarching theme, the first two events will include plenary sessions on net zero emissions, climate adaptation and resilience, and disaster risk reduction. The third event will look to the future and the opportunities and challenges that will impact atmospheric science moving forward. The Atmospheric Science Conference is proudly hosted by the National Centre for Atmospheric Science and the Royal Meteorological Society, two of the UK’s most influential organizations committed to advancing atmospheric science. There are three planned events:
- Net Zero | 22 June 2021
- Adaptation and Resilience | 6 July 2021
- Atmospheric Science: The Next Decade | 21 September 2021
