You can join IIASA’s webinar on Wednesday, 27 September 2023 from 14:30 to 15:30 CEST.

This event will feature IIASA researchers Katya Perez Guzman, Samir K.C., and Sylvia Tamberend, and the session will be moderated by the organizer’s Capacity Development and Training Dean, Fabian Wagner.

This instalment of IIASA Voices series will demonstrate the significance of systems analysis in addressing complex global challenges. IIASA researchers are pioneers in this field, working to unravel intricate systems, uncover patterns, and develop innovative solutions for a sustainable future. Our researchers have been building capacity in regional systems analysis centers, collaborating with decision makers to identify national challenges where the application of systems thinking, scenario building, and complex systems modeling can offer valuable insights and solutions. Katya Perez Guzman, Samir K.C., and Sylvia Tamberend will share their experiences, illustrating how models can significantly impact policies and influence the outcome of how systems function overall.
