Please join the Global Ocean Oxygen Network (IOC Expert Working Group GO2NE) for the latest session of its webinar series on ocean deoxygenation.
Ocean deoxygenation refers to the declining concentration of dissolved oxygen in the coastal and open ocean. This is mainly the result of human activities that are increasing global temperatures (CO2-induced warming) and increasing loads of nutrients from agriculture, sewage, and industrial waste, including pollution from power generation from fossil fuels and biomass.
The 33rd GO2NE webinar will take place on 13 December 2024 and will feature presentations by two ocean oxygen scientists – an early career scientist and a senior scientist, followed by moderated discussion sessions. Speakers will discuss the latest globally relevant ocean oxygen research in the context of their fields of research and expertise.
If you are interested to present at one of the upcoming webinars please submit a short abstract here.
