Build Back Wiser – Knowledge, Policy and Publics in Dialogue: 4th biennial conference on Science Advice to Governments (INGSA2021)

30 August to 2 September 2021 Hybrid: online and in Montreal, Canada
Build Back Wiser – Knowledge, Policy and Publics in Dialogue: 4th biennial conference on Science Advice to Governments (INGSA2021)

Never before has there been such public scrutiny on evidence generation, brokerage and its use (or non-use) in policy- and decision-making.

Lessons have been learned, assumptions have been battle-tested, and the difficulties of providing independent knowledge into complex, contested and polarised systems have been revealed.

INGSA2021: Build Back Wiser: Knowledge Policy and Publics in Dialogue will be a hybrid physical and online conference in collaboration with the Chief Scientist of Québec and Canada’s Chief Science Advisor.

Featuring some of the world’s leading experts at the evidence/policy/society interfaces, INGSA2021 will critically analyse the lessons of Covid-19, and ask how knowledge-to-policy systems must adapt to face the other great challenges and opportunities of an uncertain future.

INGSA2021 will bring together hundreds of people from every corner of the globe for an engaging, interactive and future-focused conference.

Call For Abstracts – INGSA Digital Posters

The call for abstracts is now closed. You can find the process below:

In place of a typical research conference and poster sessions, INGSA2021 will instead feature a Digital Posters platform. This will enable participants to provide short and compelling pre-recorded video presentations on research or innovations across the field of science advice and science diplomacy. Applicants will be invited to submit a Digital Poster based on their submission of a short 300 word abstract. The call for abstracts will close on the 11th April 2021.

For criteria on the abstract and Digital Posters see the Call for Abstract page.
