The Association Nacional de Pos-Graduacao e Pesquisa em Ciencias Sociais is a founding member of the International Science Council. It was previously a member of the ISSC.
The Associação Nacional de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa em Ciências Sociais (ANPOCS) was founded in 1977. It is a non-profit organization representing over 100 postgraduate study and research centers in anthropology, international relations, political science and sociology throughout Brazil. ANPOCS is made up of institutional partners, and its affiliated members count more than 1,200 university professors and researchers, senior professionals, and thousands of Master’s and Doctoral students in centres across Brazil. ANPOCS’s mission is to promote education, research and the dissemination of Brazilian knowledge in the social sciences, bringing together the academic community and issues that are debated in Brazil and abroad.
