Background

Dr. Andrea Hinwood is the Chief Scientist of the United Nations Environment Programme. She is a member of the Secretary General of the United Nations Science Advisory Board and is currently serving on several science advisory panels across environmental health, air pollution, methane and modelling. Previously an Associate Professor at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia she also held appointments as a member and Deputy Chair of the Environmental Protection Authority of Western Australia and a sessional member of the State Administrative Tribunal of Western Australia. She served as the first Chief Environmental Scientist at the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) in Victoria, Australia.
