Christina Yan Zhang is on the Advisory Council of the ISC’s think tank Centre for Science Futures.
Christina is a metaverse pioneer. She started her master research in 2006 using metaverse to develop universities’ international strategies. In 2012, she completed a PhD with full scholarship using digital twin for the AEC industry.
With 17 years’ experience turning forward-thinking ideas into successful business, she has extensive experience working with governments, universities, and business on innovation strategies. She was China Director of QS, the compiler of the World University Ranking 2013-2020. She has sat on 20+ committees for UNESCO, World Bank, Commonwealth, EU, and UK Governments. She is Vice Chairman of UN’s ITU Metaverse Working Group.
She advises governments and UN agencies to use metaverse, AI, Smart cities technologies to improve the real world.
