Julie Wrigley is the Founding Benefactor and founding co-chair Global Futures Laboratory; and co-founder and co-chair Global Institute of Sustainability (2004-20). She is a passionate proponent of sustainable societies. In 2004 she helped co-found the Global Institute of Sustainability (GIOS) at Arizona State University. Much of her time is now spent with her philanthropic work not only in environmental sustainability, but also in health care and education. She was honored in 2007 with the Arizona Outstanding Philanthropist Award and again in 2014 with Arizona State University’s Medal of Excellence. The Arizona Board of Regents also honored her in 2014 with the Regents’ Award for Outstanding Service to Higher Education. Currently, Wrigley serves as co-chair with Dr. Michael Crow, president of ASU and a world recognized leader and innovator in sustainability, and Rob Walton on the board of GIOS.
