Kathryn joined the ISC Communications Team in 2024 as a Communications Specialist. She holds a BA in professional journalism and fashion studies from the University of Minnesota and is currently finishing a master’s program in Global Communications with a focus on sustainability in fashion at The American University of Paris.
Within this program, her studies have focused on communication for socio-ecological transformation, sustainable development, and circular economy. Her educational journey has also taken her to Auroville, India; Fez, Morocco; Rome, Italy; and Honolulu, Hawaii; enriching her understanding of global perspectives on sustainability issues and solutions.
Prior to attending graduate school, Kathryn worked for 10 years in marketing and communications. Between creating digital content for financial advisors, copywriting for E-retailers, and building strategic communications plans for NGOs, she is skilled at adapting messages depending on the audience in order to tell compelling stories.
