Maretta Kula-Semos is a Professor of Humanities and an experienced Teacher Educator. She has been an academic and researcher for 40 years. Prof. Kula-Semos has conducted extensive research in university education. Some of her focus areas include higher education policy, gender and leadership, environment, culture and sustainable development, cross cultural management, quality assurance using evidence-based data and monitoring and evaluation tools to improve practice and to influence change. Prof. Kula-Semos is a staunch promoter of indigenous research methodologies. She promotes the application of indigenous knowledges alongside scientific knowledge through her active engagement in postgraduate research development for universities. She is an experienced supervisor of higher degrees students and has a good track record of successful student completions.
