Ekrem Tatoglu is a professor of International Business and affiliated with Gulf University for Science & Technology, Kuwait, and Ibn Haldun University, Istanbul, Turkey. He earned his MBA from the University of Nottingham, the U.K., and his Ph.D. from the University of Leeds, U.K. He has a vast experience in research and teaching in International Business and International Strategic Management at undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive levels. Professor Tatoglu also has extensive experience in policy development, strategic planning and foreign direct investment (FDI), having served as the head of the strategic planning unit in the Turkish Prime Ministry and also acted as principal advisor for the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey.
His research interests include global management strategies, FDI in emerging countries, international entry mode strategies, and operations management. He published over 120 scholarly articles in various international refereed journals, including the British Journal of Management, Management International Review, Journal of World Business, International Business Review, Human Resource Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, International Marketing Review, Omega, International Journal of Production Research, Industrial Marketing Management among others. He also co-authored two books entitled Dimensions of Western Foreign Direct Investment in Turkey, published by Quorum Books, and Turkish.
