The International Science Council is the global voice for science

It was created in 2018 as the result of a merger between the International Council for Science (ICSU) and the International Social Science Council (ISSC) and is the only international non-governmental organization bringing together the natural and social sciences and the largest global science organization of its type.

The vision of the Council is to advance science as a global public good. Scientific knowledge, data and expertise must be universally accessible and its benefits universally shared – that’s why science journalism is so critical to empowering open societies, so citizens can be engaged in and make informed decisions about their future. Read more about the ISC here.

Enter our exclusive competition for conference participants

We’re giving away a year’s subscription to the New Yorker plus a subscription to Anthropocene – Future Earth’s magazine that “explores how we can create a sustainable human age we actually want to live in”. Click here for your chance to win.

Anthropocene works with world-class writers to scout innovative and often counter intuitive solutions to environmental and development challenges and craft in-depth stories about the people and technologies behind those innovations.

Currently edited by Kathryn Kohm, Anthropocene won the 2018 bronze medal for specialty magazines from The Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

Its free to enter. Click here.
