The ISC does not have a Regional Focal Point in Europe, but there is an informal grouping of European ISC Members representing the interests of the regional community.

The ISC European Members Group is a self-governed body hosted by the organization that chairs the Management Group, presently by the Estonian Academy of Sciences (2022 – 2024).

Mission

  • Ensure the inclusion of the interests and priorities of the European science community in the strategic planning of the ISC
  • Foster participation of the European Members in the global activities and programmes of ISC with mutual benefit
  • Facilitate communication between the ISC Secretariat and relevant national bodies
  • Coordinate activities of the Members

The Secretariat supports the Management Group in implementing the decisions taken at the Annual Meetings.
