Overview

The ISC is attending the fifth session of the Working Group on Strengthening the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), from 2 to 13 December 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland, for a dynamic side event “Science-policy synergies for the Biological Weapons Convention.”

The side event will explore how Science-Policy interfaces can strengthen the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) and support a robust science-policy framework. The discussion will contribute to the ongoing Working Group deliberations on enhancing Compliance and Verification (C&V), Science and Technology (S&T) mechanisms, and International Cooperation and Assistance (ICA) within the BWC.
