The ISC Early And Mid-Career Researchers (EMCR) Forum virtual meeting in March will be focused on a discussion around a global call for Science Missions for Sustainability which the International Science Council will launch in March, building on the work undertaken by the Global Commission that is reflected in the ISC recent report Flipping the Science Model: A Roadmap to Science Missions for Sustainability.
The primary role of the Science Missions will be to catalyse collaboration at scale between science, policy, and society to generate actionable knowledge, particularly in regions where progress towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is most lacking. The call will be seeking novel, innovative, collaborative, and diverse consortia to embark on Science Missions to tackle complex sustainability challenges. ISC Senior Science Officer, Katsia Paulavets, will join the meeting and will provide more details about the call. The meeting will be moderated by ISC Membership Development Officer, Gabriela Ivan.
ISC Members, Young Academies and Associations, together with other young scientific groups and individual Early and Mid-Career Researchers are invited to join the meeting.
