The Rio+20 conference on sustainable development will take place in June 2012, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Each brief tackles an issue of importance to the conference, with a focus on the main themes of Rio+20: a Green Economy and the Institutional Framework for Sustainable Development.
The policy briefs currently available are:
- Water security
- Food security
- Biodiversity and ecosystems
- Transforming governance and institutions
- Interconnected risks and solutions
The policy briefs are part of the scientific preparations for the international science and policy conference, Planet Under Pressure: new knowledge towards solutions (26-29 March, London, UK).
