Submissions open for 2021 Ethnografilm festival

The Ethnografilm festival of non-fiction film will return to Paris in April 2021 for five days of screenings and debate.

Submissions open for 2021 Ethnografilm festival

The Ethnografilm Festival celebrates the art of non-fiction film-making and the field of video ethnography as a way of understanding the social world. The 2021 festival will include films that had been selected for the postponed 2020 festival, and has been extended by two days in order to allow for new submissions.

Between 13 and 18 April 2021, selected non-fiction films will be screened live and discussed by the audience of independent and academic filmmakers from across the world. The festival takes place at Théâtre Lepic, in the heart of the historic Montmartre district of Paris. Ethnografilm has been described as an academic conference with films in place of papers – and live peer review.

All non-fiction films with a release date after Jan. 2015 are eligible.

Submission deadlines
