Building Special Projects on Wikipedia

This webinar will describe how editors – and researchers- can mobilize to create content around special themes on Wikipedia.

The webinar will focus on the Wikimedia community’s response to the COVID pandemic in particular, exploring strategies for research communication and content moderation in the current polarized environment.

Specifically, we will look at the micro-site on COVID and talk through the impact and considerations -including risks – of setting up such initiatives. Representatives of the Wikimedia community will also offer advice on planning for the life cycle of such initiatives.
