In collaboration with L’Association fédérative nationale des étudiant.e.s universitaires scientifiques (AFNEUS), this event will delve into the root causes of gender-based inequalities in science.
Distinguished speakers from ministries, international organizations, the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science network, the public/private sectors, and media companies will share valuable insights.
The event will start with the unveiling of the new UNESCO Call to Action “Closing the Gender Gap in Science” during the opening plenary session. Three subsequent interactive roundtables will provide a platform for speakers to share experiences, offer advice, and discuss strategies to ensure that girls are encouraged to pursue their scientific dreams without reservation and that meaningful careers await those who take this path.
