The Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Social Sciences (led by ISC Member the Latin American Council of Social Sciences – CLACSO) is, since its first edition in 2003, the largest academic and political event of Social Sciences and Humanities worldwide. The previous conference was held in Buenos Aires in 2018, with the participation of more than 20,000 people from the five continents, 1,100 panels and 7,000 speakers. In its eight previous editions, which accompanied the General Assemblies of the Council, various topics have been addressed according to the political and social situations of the region. In 2022, the main focus of the Conference will be on inequalities.

This edition of #CLACSO2022 will include the development of open and special panels with international guests, conferences and keynote dialogues with leading figures from the political, academic, and social fields, in addition to training workshops, panels and roundtables, including the International Colloquium “Academic evaluation in times of open, inclusive and relevant science: cultural, cognitive and political-institutional challenges for the production, circulation and indexing of knowledge in Latin America and the Caribbean”. A proactive, multi-actor and regional-global agenda of research assessment policies and practices from the Latin American Forum for Research Assessment (FOLEC-CLACSO) will be held.
Researchers are invited to present their paper at #CLACSO2022, individually and/or in groups, in some of the 34 thematic axes of the Conference. Abstracts can be submitted in Spanish, Portuguese or English. The closing date for submission of abstracts is 10 December 2021.
