There has always been something intriguing about the lessons businesses can learn from sports. I dare to say there is something that HR can learn about talent management through the ambit of sport. Sprinting to Greatness: Talent Management Lessons from Athletics delves into the fascinating world of track and field to uncover valuable insights applicable to talent management in organizations. The term talent management has become increasingly popular, especially considering the changes in the Future of Work but is it being discussed in the Caribbean? This talk will draw parallels between the high-performance environment of athletics and the corporate world, from identifying talent (attraction), developing talent (coaching & training), managing performance (performance management), and developing a winning mindset and retention. The audience will get a fresh perspective on talent management through the lens of athletics.
