The ninth annual Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the SDGs (STI Forum) will be held from 9 to 10 May 2023. In line with recent mandates and as in previous years, the STI Forum will facilitate discussions on science, technology and innovation cooperation in support of the SDGs. It will focus on the set of SDGs under review at the 2024 High-level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development to be held from 8 to 17 July 2023, namely SDG 1, 2, 13, 16 and 17. The STI Forum summary will therefore inform the 2024 HLPF deliberations.
Accordingly, the theme for the STI Forum 2024 is: “Science, technology and innovation for reinforcing the 2030 Agenda and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises: the effective delivery of sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions”.
