Dr Daniel Williams is an Early Career Research Fellow at Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge. Before this, he completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2018. Daniel’s research draws on recent advances in the evolutionary, cognitive, and social sciences to address philosophical and psychological questions concerning the nature and causes of belief, ignorance, and irrationality. His current research project investigates how group attachments distort how people experience and reason about the world and explores the implications of such distortions for the production and distribution of knowledge, ignorance, and misinformation.
